My current setup is a Sanyo 'high end' turntable >from the 70's with a Technics headshell. The LVV was one of the lowest cost Linn arms they produced. I had a Linn Basik / Akito and changed to a Rega Planar 3 / SME III. Just before selling my Linn Lp 12/tonearm ( needed the $) I purchased a used Ariston RD-11. The original arm features a straight arm tube with detachable headshell and calibrated tracking force and bias controls. I had a spare Technics double-gimbal tonearm (similar enough to Linn's Basik LV-V), and custom created a mounting base for.ĭescription The LVX is the forerunner to the popular Akito tonearm. I even fitted a 'string and weight' antiskate setup (similar to the Thorens idea, using surplus bicycle spokes and some J-B Weld epoxy). I had a spare Technics double-gimbal tonearm (similar enough to Linn's Basik LV-V), and custom created a mounting base for it, using the arm lift and clip from a junk Jelco arm.
